Stop the presses! This is a Queen Beyonce’ Alert!
I know that winter has finally come after Game of Thrones’ season 8 dropped this Sunday, but there is something else to rejoice now. Avant garde musician Beyonce’ is dropping a new movie on Netflix today.
Yes, you read that right. Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé is coming to Netflix very, very soon. Like today soon. If reports are to be believed (and they are), the movie premieres on Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PT on Wednesday, April 17.
The project was announced by the video-streaming giant less than a week ago and since then it has been hyping it up on social media. Beyoncé fans were quick to notice that a movie was on the way, and then Netflix dropped the official trailer last week.
The film revolves around the star as she prepares for her performance at Coachella 2018. Her set at the festival is considered one of the most legendary musical sets at the festival. According to Netflix Life: “This is going to be one of the biggest Netflix documentaries of all time. Beyoncé is, arguably, the biggest star in music right now, and she has a huge fanbase all over the world. I’ll be surprised if this isn’t one of Netflix’s most-watched projects of the year. It might not be as big as Stranger Things, but it could be second.”
But wait, that is not all. If reports by Variety are to believed, Beyonce’s documentary will coincide with the launch of her ‘B7’ album. “Hints at a new album, possibly entitled “B7,” have surfaced online ahead of “Homecoming’s” Netflix debut on Wednesday. The lyrics website Genius shows the album listed under Beyonce’s discography, with an April 18 expected release date.
“Some Twitter reports showed a track listing on the Genius site as well, but it has evidently been taken down or didn’t exist.”
