Feb 23, 2019, Comedian and Hangover actor Brody Stevens has died at the age of 48, the cause of Steven’s death was apparently a suicide. The investigation regarding his death leads to the conclusion Steven’s died through hanging.
Several actors and colleagues shared their condolences through social media, including tweets from comedian Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman and Kumail Nanjiani who were fond of Steven’s they say he was one of a kind.
The famous comedy club The Comedy Store also paid tribute to the late actor, tweeting, “Thank you, Brody, for sharing your comedy and positive energy with us through the years.” The Comedy Store was like home to Brody and in some of the unforgettable Brody Stevens moments.
Stevens was a well-known actor and stand up comedian.
Stevens And His Depression
Prior to his suicide, Stevens tweeted that he was looking forward to getting to the comedy circuit. The actor was very open towards his depression, however, he was recently disappointed regarding negative reactions to a comedy special he had done. His friends and family were aware that Stevens was under medication.
The news of Steven’s death shocked his friends and family. As they would describe him as a funny and strong individual. Steven’s death rapidly spread on social media platforms.
Social Media Reactions
Tweets from several actors and colleagues were posted through social media. Comedian and Patton Oswalt tweeted “ If you are feeling suicidal or depressed, please reach out to ANYONE.”
Actor and comedian Jonah Ray Rodrigues said in his post that Stevens was singular and nobody was like him, saying Stevens was sweet, kind and super hilarious. Rodrigues recalled a GIF of him and Stevens fist-bumping each other.
While actor Nick Kroll described Steven’s and shared a video of Brody Steven’s friends and family talking about Brody and their first impression of him. The video spread all throughout twitter and other social media platforms.
